We have not known a week fly by so quickly! Lovely to make a return visit to this cosy cottage, so well equiped with added cream tea and fizz. We've had another great holiday in this part of Somerset - the beech hedges and trees are so beautiful - we will return. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the scones, cream & fizz. Very much appreciated after a long drive! We enjoyed Watchett, Dunster and the Castle (amazing), Porlock Weir (we ate a good meal in The Ship Inn) and drinks in The Bear amongst other places. The cottage is lovely, but the weather could have been better.

Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful cottage, equipped with such care and attention and spotlessly clean! The bed is fabulously comfortable and it's been a joy to wake to the sound of house martins tweeting in the morning and a great surprise to hear the turtle dove in the evenings. We've been fortunate too with the weather, but to be honest Exmoor is beautiful rain or sunshine. Highlights have been Dunster, Castle and surroundings, Heddon Valley and coastal views, Porlock - Culoden Church - Bossington, Selworthy, Doone Valley........ and sampling all the local delights - cakes, ice creams,cider etc. We will return many times!

Beautiful cottage with a fabulous garden. Thank you for the arrival pack - afternoon tea and everything we needed for a fire. Jake says thanks for the bowls and the treats too! We enjoyed the eggs with our alfresco breakfast on the patio. Explored Dunster Castle and beach - lunch at Reeves. The Tarr Streps and village at Dulverton - nice deli and butchers. Hope to be back soon!

What a beautiful place to stay. The cottage was spotless and so very comfy, with lots of thoughtful touches. Scones delicious and fizz, just what we needed. The scenery is fantastic and so peaceful. Lovely cottage - very tastefully decorated. Well equipped and so homely. the Royal Oak at Withypool, excellent food, huge portions and a friendly welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the countryside, lots of walking yet a very relaxing holiday.

Perfect place for a getaway break, had a lovely stay. Very quiet and cosy cottage. Teh hosts were so kind and welcoming. The cottage provided a beautiful base to explore Exmoor and walk our little socks off (literally).

Felt like home as soon as we arrived. I wanted a solo time-out in a place I felt warm and welcome. It was more than I imagined. Kindness and generosity from the hosts. Lovely conversations. I explored all of Exmoor. Walked my socks off and looked forward to returning to a cosy, beautiful space. Everything you need in a beautifully decorated home. 10/10! Absolutely stunning. Perfect place for R & R and genuine authentic kindness of the hosts. We will be back!

Lovely quiet and relaxing place to stay. Weather wasn't great but the cottage was lovely and warm on arrival and we made use of the wood burner. Plenty of things to do, Dunster Beach is ideal for dogs. Thanks for a relaxing break.

We had such a lovely, tranquil stay – just what we were after! An escape to the countryside, pre –Christmas away from our busy lives. It’s such a cosy and homely cottage – and really does remind me of the cottage from the Xmas movie The Holiday. The prosecco and scones were a lovely touch, along with the Christmas décor! Thank you for welcoming us to Somerset – we would happily stay again!

We really appreciate the care and attention that went into having the cottage ready for us, at short notice too! It made our break very special, and we felt very safe that everything was so clean. The Cottage was very warm and cosy and extremely clean. Everything was of a very high standard of quality, and the bed was super comfy. The owners had clearly gone to a lot of effort to make our stay a good one, which was much appreciated. It was lovely having the wood burner lit for us upon arrival. The Cottage is in a super location for things to do in the area with fabulous walks and good pubs. We would love to return.

Everything was as described on the website, great secluded location, clean, neat and tidy, quiet, ideal for couples romantic getaway, or even singletons like myself wanting tranquility from the everyday hustle of the city. Cannot fault it in any way. Awesome.

Although adjoining the owners house the position was very private and exceptionally quiet, with its own large lawned garden and patio. Lovely countryside location with fine views from the cottage. Nice walks locally and many interesting places to visit within easy driving distance.

Lovely location. Off the road and so quiet. A fizzy welcome of prosecco and scones and a chance to purchase fresh eggs from their free running hens. What more could you want. Would definitely go back again.

Such a peaceful cottage, very comfortable and very clean. Views of surrounding countryside beautiful. Great base to visit many of the beautiful villages on the coast. Welcome eggs, milk, bubbly and scones very tasty. Owners very helpful and friendly.

A great holiday- super clean and well positioned cottage. Welcoming hosts - lovely cream tea on arrival. A very peaceful location. Close to the beautiful Wimbleball Lake and within easy reach of Wivey, Tarr Steps, Dulverton and Bampton. Approximately 40 mins to Minehead, Porlock and Dunster. Stunning scenery and very enjoyable walks. Lovely garden and courtyard in which to relax! Had a great and much needed break! Thank you.

We arrived in time to watch the funeral of HRH Duke of Edinburgh. The log burner was lit and fresh scones ready to eat with a cup of tea. A wonderful welcome to a wonderful week. The countryside here really did take our breath away and the peace and quiet in such contrast to our busy home! We appreciated all the work you have done to provide a great stay.

The cottage was very comfortable and extremely clean and cosy. It is in a very rural location which gives you a feeling of peace and space. Set in beautiful countryside it is ideal for that complete escape from busy life. I would have no hseistation in recommending. We received a lovely welcome of scones, clotted cream, jam and a bottle of bubbly. You also have the benefit of your own private garden, barbecue and terrace. Perfect for the summertime.
